Dallas County Republicans Open Office in Waukee

The Dallas County Republicans will hold a grand opening for the new office space on Monday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at 43 N.E. Carefree Lane.

The Waukee GOP Victory/Dallas County Republicans will host a grand opening celebration Monday for their new Waukee office space.

The event will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at 43 N.E. Carefree Lane in Waukee. A public ribbon-cutting is scheduled at 5 p.m. with remarks from Congressman Tom Latham at 5:15 p.m.

The new office in Waukee will serve as a center for campaign volunteer activities throughout the county for candidates at the local, state and federal level, a news release said.

“We are extremely excited to be able to open this joint office with GOP Victory to serve as a hub for our hundreds of volunteers throughout the county," said Dallas County Republican Party Chairman Mike Elam.

Dallas County is the fastest-growing Republican county in Iowa, with an increase in registered Republican voters of over 9 percent since the 2008 elections. Republicans now outnumber registered Democrats in the county by 62 percent.

Elam said Dallas County candidates for state senate and house seats, as well as candidates for local Dallas County offices, will attend the opening.
