Iowans Say No to Gas Tax Hike: 2/17 Urbandale Morning Report

The latest Iowa Poll says that Iowans opposed legislative plans to raise the state's gasoline tax, reports DesMoinesRegister.com.

Iowa needs to fix its road and, especially, bridge infrastructure, but with predictions that gas could reach $5 per gallon by summer, the ethanol subsidy sunset and many Iowans still struggling, raising the gas tax shouldn't be on anyone's list of legislative priorities.
