Families can register their children for two free games of bowling daily through Aug. 31, according to a news release. Warrior Lanes, located at 190 S.E. Laurel St. in Waukee, is providing this program at no cost. Participants can register for free at www.kidsbowlfree.com/warrior. The value of this program, to just one bowler, is over $900 and with over 15,000 local children who can participate, the savings could run into more than $1 million, the business said. West Des Moines Bosnian restaurant Saraj will open a second location in Urbandale on May 28, according to the Des Moines Register. Saraj Cafe and Bakery will be located at 3916 N.W. Urbandale Dr. in a strip mall behind Jimmy John's and Taco John's, the article said. It will offer bakery items, coffee, teas and lunch items, including soups, salads and sandwiches. Owner Fuada Aljic told the Register the restaurant will have a greater selection of baked goods and that she also hopes to eventually add breakfast to the menu. Lunch will be served until 2 p.m. but baked goods will be sold until 6:30 p.m.
