DART Holding Public Meetings on Flex Route 73, Serving Urbandale and Windsor Heights

Bus service is considering possible changes to to improve service.

A news release:

What: The public is invited to a series of three public meetings being heldTuesday and Thursday, Sept. 24 and 26, to advise DART staff on a planning study for Flex Route 73, which serves Urbandale and Windsor Heights.

Why: The planning study is being conducted by the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) to identify possible changes to the route to improve its performance.  A flex route operates along a fixed route with established stops and a set schedule, but it has extra time built into the schedule so the bus can flex off route between stops.

Feedback from the public meetings will help shape staff recommendations for improving the route, which could include changes such as route alignment, schedule, connections and marketing efforts.
