Urbandale uFit Challenge Still Accepting Applications

The first Urbandale's Fittest Challenge will begin in March.

From uFit-

uFit, an Urbandale Community Action Network (UCAN) committee focused on health and wellness, is launching a 12-week "uFit Challenge" on March 4th.

The group is actively seeking participants who want to lose weight, learn about nutrition, and improve their overall health. uFit has partnered with Hy-Vee and Aspen Athletic Clubs to offer this exclusive opportunity at no cost.

Participants will take part in an initial health screening/assessment and be provided with nutrition assistance, meal plans, and a gym membership.

The gym membership includes time with a personal trainer and custom workouts.

Participants will be tested at the end of 12 weeks and one winner will be crowned "Urbandale's Fittest" and win the grand prize.

To be eligible, participants must live or work within Urbandale city limits. For more information or to indicate your interest, please email ufit@urbandalenetwork.org.

“The goal of “uFit Challenge” is to help residents meet new fitness and wellness goals in a fun, yet informative way,” said Kim Hinkhouse, uFit co-chair.

uFit is a community-based health and wellness organization that encourages citizens and leaders from city government, schools, businesses, and religious institutions to improve the quality of life for all Urbandale residents. uFit engages the community through events, programs, and infrastructure supporting healthy eating, active lifestyle, and a positive outlook.

The Urbandale Community Action Network (UCAN) is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization serving as a catalyst for positive community action and spirit in Urbandale. UCAN is focusing on ways to impact the community today and in the future.
