Celebrate NIDDA Month with Mosaic!

MOSAIC INVITES YOU TO DISCOVER THE POSSIBILITIES

Urbandale, IA – You may remember the gentleman with disabilities that bagged your groceries for you or the young woman with disabilities volunteering at the local animal shelter. You may remember how happy they seemed, but what you might not know is how they obtained that job or were connected with the volunteer opportunity. Mosaic's mission is to help people with intellectual disabilities discover possibilities in their lives.

As part of National Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in March, Mosaic invites community members to attend a free, one-hour event called Discover the Possibilities to learn the truth about people with disabilities living and working in your community. Attendees will be given a tour of our mission through stories told by the people we serve, their families and our staff members. To attend an upcoming tour contact Laura Holtman at 515-868-0602 or laura.holtman@mosaicinfo.org.

Mosaic serves 185 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the greater Des Moines area. For more information visit www.mosaicindesmoines.org.

About Mosaic
Mosaic provides a life of possibilities for people with intellectual disabilities through supports which are tailored to the individual's needs and desires. We support people to define their own happiness. We ask people how they like to spend their day, what they love to do in their spare time, where they want to live and goals they would like to achieve. Then we partner with them to make those things happen. These services are provided in collaboration with local, state, national, and international partners in 10 states and six countries. Mosaic is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. For more information visit www.mosaicinfo.org.
