Urbandale Man Allegedly Lobs Beer Can at Clerk, Shatters Glass and Threatens to Shoot

An Urbandale man was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, first-degree harassment and harassment of public officials, Wednesday evening, July 31 at Des Moines Shop N' Save.

A 26-year-old Urbandale man reportedly tried to buy beer at a Shop N' Save on Sixth Avenue in Des Moines, Wednesday at 6:45 p.m., July 31, but was denied by the store manager because he appeared intoxicated, the Des Moines Register reported

The suspect, Jarvil Francisco Rosales Lara, 26, then threw beer at the store manager and threatened to shoot him. 

After that, he reportedly punched the protective glass over the Chester Chicken's food area, causes it to shatter and ruins hundreds of dollars of food, the Register reported. 

He then fled the store with one other person, then officials found his car and he was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, first-degree harassment and harassment of public officials, the Register reported.
