Do You Have the Moves to Win Urbandale's Skateboard Xtreme Challenge?
Area skateboarders can register now to compete in the Aug. 3 Skateboard Xtreme Challenge at Walker Johnston Park in Urbandale.

Area skateboarders can show off their skills and win prizes in Urbandale Parks & Recreation’s Skateboard Xtreme Challenge set for Saturday, Aug. 3.
The event begins at 11 a.m. at the Urbandale Skateboard Park in Walker Johnston Park, 9000 Douglas Ave.

Competition will be divided by age and ability. No entry fee or no pre-registration required.
First- through third-place winners will receive merchandise and prizes compliments of event partner Subsect Skateshop.

Skaters will be judged on the frequency and complexity of maneuvers. Ramps featured at Urbandale’s Skateboard Park include two, 2-foot escalated quarter pipes, a 90-degree bank street hip, a street spine, and a fun box.
