Were the J-Hawks Victorious in First State Basketball Game Since 2009?

The Urbandale J-Hawks faced the Bettendorf Bulldogs in the first round of the boys state basketball tournament Wednesday.

After a hard-fought battle, the J-Hawks won't be moving on in the 2013 Boys State Basketball tournament.

The J-Hawks lost 62-53 to the Bettendorf Bulldogs in their first state appearance since 2009.

In the first half the J-Hawks had 14 turnovers.

Also during the first half Urbandale's Denny Agic received a technical foul for throwing the ball back at a Bettendorf player.

At halftime the Bulldogs led the J-Hawks 34-24.

The J-Hawks remained behind through the second half. Bringing the margin to with in four at one point.

The Bulldogs will next play Cedar Falls (20-4) on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
