Little Leaguers Pitch in for Good Cause at World Series

Back at home, fans are crediting All-Star team for demonstrating "sportsmanship and grace under pressure to a lot of young Urbandale Little Leaguers." One parent said her son "watched your game with stars in his eyes."

Their bid for a Little League Baseball World Series title may have fallen short, but members of Urbandale’s 2013 All-Star team are still enjoying some spectacular moments off the field in and around Williamsport, PA, where the international series goes until a champion is decided on Sunday, Aug. 25.

Between games, some of th Urbandale Little Leaguers stopped by the “Strike Out Stains Pitching Challenge” to help raise money for a great cause.

As the official Laundry Products of Little League, the all® and Snuggle® brands asked players to try their luck and attempt to pitch socks into a washing machine, all to trigger donations to the Little League Challenger Division.

For each sock that found its way to the washer, $5 was donated to the Challenger Division, which enables boys and girls with physical and mental challenges to enjoy the game of baseball kids.
