Walker-Johnston is a regional park in the heart of Urbandale that is the site of summer youth recreational programs and youth sports and adult recreational leagues.

Accessible by recreational trails from many neighborhoods, the park has tennis courts, soccer fields, and a baseball and softball diamond.

It's also home to Urbandale's skate park. There is a duck pond with a path around it, children's play structures and a shelter house that can be rented by Urbandale residents for various activities.

The park is connected to the city complex, including the public library, via a recreational trail.
