School Administrator's Performance a Talking Point for Urbandale School Board

The unknown administrator's performance will be evaluated in closed session during the board's regular meeting.

The Urbandale school board will evaluate the performance of an unknown administrator during tonight's meeting, according to the Des Moines Register.

The evaluation will be done in closed session, the newspaper reported. Board president Adam Obrecht declined to provide specifics to the Register as to which employee the board will be discussing or what actions it is looking to take.

The board will take action on the administrator’s contract after the closed session, according to the agenda.

In its June 10 meeting, the board tabeled a vote on the district’s compensation package for administrators, citing the need to first resolve a personnel issue, the Register also reported. The board will vote on the package tonight after the first closed session.

The board will also evaluate the performance of Superintendent Doug Stilwell at tonight's meeting, the article said.
