Urbandale School Board Takes No Action on Unnamed District Administrator

Board members decided to seek further information before making any decisions regarding the administrator's contract.

The Urbandale school board took no action Monday night after meeting in closed session to discuss the performance of a district administrator, the Des Moines Register reports.

The board was supposed to vote on the unnamed administrator's contract at last night's meeting, the article said. The board decided to seek further information before making any decisions.

It’s still unknown when or if details will be released to the public on the issue, board president Adam Obrecht told the Register.

In its June 10 meeting, the board tabeled a vote on the district’s compensation package for administrators, citing the need to first resolve a personnel issue, the Register also reported. The board will vote on the package tonight after the first closed session.

The board will also evaluate the performance of Superintendent Doug Stilwell at tonight's meeting, the article said.
